From Strategy To Reality

Benefits Management

Traditional project management methodologies set a completion point at or around the time of the post-implementation review. In fact many projects never have a post-implementation review but assume completion is at the point of handover to the customer.

Benefits management recognises that real, bottom-line benefits may not begin to accrue until well beyond project implementation, when it is difficult to influence the outcome or learn any lessons.

How We Can Help

Benefits management starts at the project planning stage by setting out clear, measurable baselines for timescales, financial targets and operational improvements that can be recorded, reviewed and acted upon in the weeks and months following implementation. Results can then be used to build into performance measures and estimating metrics in order to improve future planning.

We can help you build the framework for benefits management, monitor your key projects against that framework, and provide an independent assessment of the success of the results.
